Home Buyers Shouldn’t Say Love or they’ll Pay Dearly

Valentines Day and phrases associated with it reminds me to tell my clients what not to say when interacting with a home seller or a real estate agent that represents the seller at home showings.

I love it.

It’s perfect for us (me).

We (I) just fell in love with the house.

I (we) just found my next home.

It’s our dream home.

We’ve loved it вспышки canon for years.

We love it. We want it.

It’s the perfect house for us (me).

We love this house. Dearly.

Here are some tips to help you save some money once you find the perfect home.

-Instruct your agent to keep you away from listing agents or sellers when you’re viewing a home. свекла полезные свойства As much as the listing agent or homeowner wants to follow you around to sell you the home, ask your agent (yes you should have your own) to tell the listing agent or owner that after a quick verbal overview of the property features you would like to see the property at your own pace, unaccompanied by them. This way if the love starts flowing they won’t know it, unless you’re screaming with glee.

-Adopt a poker face. From the minute you meet real estate agents or sellers, be approachable but not overly engaging. Real estate sales persons first thought is to try to qualify you as a buyer. Resist extensive conversations by extracting yourself with “we’re on a tight property tour timeline today”, Crunch 2191 “it’s our first day out”, or “some features work for us, but it isn’t 100%”.

-Don’t stay too long.

Banks Slogans are Not Bank Brands

Differentiating products and services through advertising is common for many industries. Financial services marketers seem to be having Цифровые фотоаппараты a particularly tough time.

In preparation for my role on a branding panel at the recent Washington Bankers Association marketing conference, I hired a clip service to capture Western Washington bank print advertisements for two months. The panelists also collected their personal financial direct mail for the same period. The result was thousands of ads from scores of banks and credit unions. The junk mail must have weighed 30 pounds.

Consumers are being inundated with financial ads, direct mail, and telemarketing. mystic cove oviedo fl With direct mail, much of the effort attempts to persuade consumers to open envelopes with fake checks, fake government documents, and fake come-ons that offer incredibly low interest rates that aren’t that low when one looks at the fine print. Everyone at the conference agreed that this tactic is expected from loan brokers, yet seemed surprised galena illinois lodging to see this tactic from quality institutions like Bank of America. Still, we are seeing more of it. Precious little direct mail demonstrated why each bank was the right choice. Much of the advertising is not much better.

Carrie Williams, president of BrandLab (www.brandlab.com), agreed to sort through the marketing messages and create brand maps to demonstrate how banks appear to consumers and how banks compete against each other. Social Interaction in the Age of the Internet

While the global messaging possibilities made Magazine homes available by e-mail and Internet access can put us in touch with fellow humans the world over, many of us are finding ourselves left feeling lonely and isolated by the rush and brevity of electronic exchanges.

Furthermore, the anonymity of chat rooms, and e-groups can lead to a tendency to embellish the truth, or even invent a different identity altogether, with many chatters around the world re-inventing themselves from their income to their vital statistics up. In some cases the difference between invented Internet personas and the factual truth of an individual can lead to unwelcome self-concept issues and further social withdrawal as the Internet image pulls from social reality into an isolated realm of keyboard, screen and preferred self.

Alternative Fuel Vehicles and How Not to Advertise Them

If I asked you to name the least trustworthy figures in the American landscape these days I bet politicians would компьютерные комплектующие rank high on the list. I would also wager a tidy sum that corporate execs would not be far behind. It seems like most things, a few bad ones can really muck up a good thing. Maybe todays high priced CEO’s Crocketts Bluff homes deserve our scorn and maybe they don’t. It doesn’t matter much. We all seem to think they’re a bit shadier now than we used to. The execs know it too. Ask Martha. That’s partly why I was completely baffled by the new “Eco-ad” campaign the Ford folks have begun. They’ve managed to take a corporate exec and make him look like a politician. Brilliant!

With the difficulty domestic manufacturers are having with ever stricter cafй standards and EPA regulations, coupled with rapidly increasing foreign competition, this is the most compelling stuff Ford has to buy their eco-products; a corporate exec, in the politicians pose, lecturing his voters, I mean customers? Why Effort is Not Enough

Why Effort is Not Enough

“A man to carry on a successful business must have imagination. He must see things in a vision, a dream of the whole thing. “ – Charles M. Schwab (1862-1959)American capitalist

Many of us have been taught that effort is the key to success. “Work hard and everything will turn out okay,” we were told. Many of us have taken that wisdom and applied it to every facet of our lives. Many of us expect our employees to take the same “just work harder” approach to sales, customer service and leadership. Yet effort is really NOT the best predictor of success. According to a study at State University in Albany, New York, effort is the single-most over-rated trait in producing success. According to the study, effort, by itself, is a terrible predictor of outcomes, because inefficient effort is a tremendous source of discouragement. People then conclude erroneously that they can never succeed, since expending maximum effort did not produce the results they hoped for.

If effort is not the key to success, what is? The key to success simply lies in how we feel about ourselves at the deepest level of our being, our personal beliefs. Over the course of our lives,
